PRESENTATION
At the end of the studies related to the first level Academic Diploma in Jazz Drums and Percussion, students must have acquired the knowledge of techniques and specific skills that allow them to concretely realize their artistic idea. To this end, particular emphasis will be given to the study of the most representative singing repertoire for popular music - including ensemble singing - and the related executive practices, also with the aim of developing the student's ability to interact within musical groups differently composed. These objectives must also be achieved by promoting the development of perceptive hearing and memorization skills and with the acquisition of specific knowledge relating to the organisational, compositional and analytical models of music and their interaction. Specific care must be dedicated to the acquisition of adequate postural and emotional control techniques. At the end of the three-year period, students must have acquired in-depth knowledge of the general stylistic, historical and aesthetic aspects relating to their specific field. Furthermore, with reference to the specificity of the individual courses, the student must possess adequate skills related to the field of improvisation. The training objective of the course is also the acquisition of adequate skills in the field of musical information technology as well as those relating to a second community language.
