CONCERT HALLS

There are three main venues where the internal artistic production activities of the "Evaristo Felice Dall'Abaco" Conservatory of Verona take place: the Auditorium Nuovo Montemezzi, the Salone di Casa Boggian and the Cloister of the Conservatory. They can be visited virtually on the page of ► halls.

Located in the main building of the Conservatory with access from Piazza Sant'Anastasia, Auditorium Nuovo Montemezzi, named after the Veronese composer Italo Montemezzi (Vigasio 1875-1952), it was inaugurated in March 1998, has a capacity of 150 seats and a stage of about 68 m2. Access to the auditorium takes place through a path of great historical and artistic interest that from the courtyard adjacent to the basilica of Santa Anastasia, where there are two remarkable examples of funerary arks dating back to the 17th century. XIII, leads to the foyer of the Nuovo Montemezzi in which the restoration works for the construction of the auditorium have highlighted valuable frescoes and parts of the original wall structure bordering the Basilica. In the Nuovo Montemezzi auditorium diploma exams, final essays, seminars, concert reviews and dissemination meetings for schools are mainly held.

For final exams and for concerts and educational activities, especially for early music courses, the historical Salone di Casa Boggian, located in Stradone San Fermo 28.

Another place used in the summer to carry out concert reviews is the suggestive Chiostro, internal courtyard of the headquarters in via Massalongo. Located close to the Basilica of Santa Anastasia, access to the Cloister of the Conservatory is from the foyer of the Auditorium Nuovo Montemezzi. The excellent acoustics and the large surface area of over 500 square meters make the Cloister an important space available to the Conservatory for the realization of very popular summer artistic activities.
