This year, the Conservatory of Verona hosts the second edition of Bass is Best, born from the success of the first edition held at the Conservatory of Trento on the initiative of its founder, Maestro Massimiliano Rizzoli.
The emotions conveyed by 47 young double bassists bring one certainty to the fore: the double bass is an instrument of extraordinary expressive possibilities. Traditionally relegated to a supporting role, here it becomes the absolute protagonist with a monumental orchestra conducted by Maestro Fabio Serafini.
The event, organized as part of the Erasmus BIP (Blended Intensive Programme) project, features the participation of students and professors from 7 partner conservatories abroad (Braga, Vigo, Augsburg, Jaén, León, A Coruña, Sofia) and 6 Italian conservatories (Trento, Bolzano, Verona, Modena, Cesena, Udine).
